Fall Welcome Week kicks off Tuesday, Aug. 18 at ASU’s West campus. Freshmen will start moving into Las Casas residence hall bright and early that morning. Activities throughout the week focus on helping new students get acquainted with the university and prepared to have a successful experience as ASU students. Additional events are planned for returning students, parents and guests.
West campus faculty and staff are encouraged to volunteer to help with the week’s activities; click here to sign up to volunteer.
One of the week’s highlights will be Traditions Night, Tuesday the 18th from 7 to 9 p.m. on Fletcher Lawn. A candle lighting ceremony will signify the “passing of the torch” from returning to new students, and attendees will be treated to a barbecue dinner. Faculty and staff are invited to attend; RSVP by Monday the 17th to katie.fischer@asu.edu.
